Siguiendo la línea de la semana pasada, hoy os hoy os presento al segundo de los talents que tengo el placer de presentar la próxima semana en Feeric Fashion Week.
Sí, sí, habéis leído bien, la próxima semana da comienzo la décima edición; la cuenta atrás llega a su fin!
Como os comenté la pasada semana, para ésta edición quise ser fiel a mí mismo y preferí apostar por la calidad y el talento emergente.
Manuel Pampillón reúne ambas características. Una joven promesa del diseño gallego, al cual tuve la oportunidad de conocer (de casualidad, como pasan las mejores cosas en la vida) durante mi estancia como jurado en la Mostra Internacional Do Encaixe de Camariñas.
Manuel no es un diseñador al uso. Manuel huye de los convencionalismos y prefiere mantenerse en las sombras. Deja a un lado las tendencias y decide crear su propio camino. Un amplio proceso de patronaje creativo dan lugar a sus creaciones. Sus inspiraciones provienen de todo lo que le rodea, del aquí y ahora, es por ello que sus diseños no siguen una linealidad en estética o cortes. Su primera colección resultó ser una oda a la performance lencera fusionada con una vertiente rock. Interesante cuanto menos.
Sus ideas nos transportan a un temprano Gaultier, donde reina la teatralidad y prima el espectáculo en cada costura. Es precisamente ahí donde se siente mas cómodo: mas cerca de lo teatral que del prét-à-porter propiamente dicho; cuenta de ello dan sus creaciones.
Y es que, qué sería de la vida sin espectáculo?

X-Art es la propuesta que veremos el próximo día 20 en Sibiu. Una colección que fué la ganadora de la última edición del Code41.
La oscuridad del arte es la línea raíz que impulsa ésta colección. Pollock y el expresionismo abstracto se hacen presentes en las abstractas telas que él mismo estampa en su taller. La arquitectura vanguardista y la fuerza de la feminidad completan y contextualizan su colección más aclamada hasta el momento.

Manuel Pampillón has both characteristics. A young promise of Galician design, which I had the opportunity to meet (by chance, as the best things happen in life) during my stay as a jury at the International Show Dock Camariñas.
Manuel is not a designer to use. Manuel escapes the conventions and prefers to remain in the shadows. Set trends aside and decide to create your own path. An extensive process of creative patronage gives rise to their creations. His inspirations come from everything that surrounds him, the here and now, that is why his designs do not follow a linearity in aesthetics or cuts. His first collection turned out to be an ode to the lencera performance fused with a rock slope. Interesting least.
His ideas transport us to an early Gaultier, where theater reigns supreme and the spectacle at every seam. It is precisely here that he feels more comfortable: closer to the theater than to the pret-a-porter proper; Account of it give their creations.

Now the international leap and Romania will be the next stage where his promising career will land.
