COUNTDOWN to FEERIC : INTERNATIONAL TALENTS

Feeric Fashion Week International

______________ ENGLISH VERSION _____________

Many are the names that throughout the search of talents are shuffled to be part of the #FeericFamily. But few are those who get to step on the International Fashion exponent footbridge every year.

First of all, I wanted to thank you for the enormous entrance of the previous post, when we spoke about the Spanish that I have this year to Feeric. If you did not read the post, click on HERE.

20 days before the 11th edition of the Feeric Fashion Week, today as the promised date, the names of the International Brands that I have the honor and pleasure to be able to carry out in Sibiu this year.

After an arduous search of International talents that aunts quality, style and personality, there were two that joined my team for its edition. And I can not be happier with the result. Two heavier brands of the International Fashion that come to my hand to praise the name of Feeric.

Direct from New York arrives Cat + King to an Individual Show; From the other side of the world, more specifically from the Philippines, comes Mimi Parrell-Pimentel who presents her work during the closing gala on the 22nd.

Let's know a little more about them and an advance about their collections:

Cat + King

Cat Rocchio and Shannon King are the designers behind the successful Brand of the Big Apple. Both came from families related to Art and Creativity (Catherine's grandmother was a tailor, patron and seamstress of Armenian roots, and Shannon's family are Writers, Comedians and Artists) were trained in different branches of the industry, as well as Fashion Institute of Technology of New York and in Italy.

The decadence of the New York confectionery district sparked the spark and creation of Cat + King, an artisan measure brand that seeks to promote and contribute to the construction of the most artisanal and disadvantaged sectors of Fashion. They seek to raise awareness about more ethical and sustainable fashion practices; give the voice to the artisan women who are behind the industry and expand their message through Fashion as leitmotiv.

Their brilliant talent has also made them finalists of Feeric33, the youth competition that Feeric presents this year.

LA EROÍNA, is an Autumn / Winter collection inspired by the dark Romantic literary Era of the XVIII Century. Silhouettes inspired by the army, set in a supernatural world; her muse Czarina is the alter ego of "the damsel in distress". She is not afraid to explore the unknown, she incarnates the heroine in every woman. Soft, feminine wavy blouses contrast with structured structures and large voices. Earthy and dark tones, among them, intermingle in wool, silk, prints and jacquards. And I can't say more. Undoubtedly one of the favorite collections and most expected by all in this edition.

Mimi Parrel-Pimentel

From the exoticism of the East, specifically from Cagayan de Oro, Philippines, this select designer comes to us, the current Presidential Fashion Consultant of the Country and with an admirable professional career.

Between her brilliant and unstoppable way, She highlights her passage through prestigious renowned centers such as the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, The London College of Fashion and Central St. Martin's; to be the Founder of the Fashion Institute in Cagayan and the Philippine Institute for the Development of Arts and Skills. All these achievements have been recognized with a multitude of National and International recognitions; as well as a member of the Fashion DesignersGuild and named Fashion Icon.

Known for her feminine and avant-garde cocktail-like creations, evening dresses and nuptial brushstrokes, Mimi has traveled both in the Philippines and Internationally showing her personals and sophisticated creations. Their collections stand out for their refinement and the use of indigenous materials such as Abaca and Mindanao silk, taking them with them wherever they go.

READY TO WEAR, it will shine on the stage of the Gala on the 22nd of July. A collection that seeks its essence among the printing arts, the chiffon, the organdil, the lace and the local silk of Mindano. The perfect finishing touch to what promises to be the best edition to date.

Undoubtedly all the sights available on these two Brands. Now we just have to wait for the International Fashion Week to appear, which I will show daily in a diary through my Instagram @alejandrodlomas and, later, what happened and most remarkable in my blog summaries.

See you in Feeric!
